What is Liquid Germall Plus
Liquid Germall Plus is a potent, synthetic broad spectrum preservative that protects cosmetic products from bacteria, yeast, fungi and mold. It consists of a blend of Propylene Glycol, Diazolidinyl Urea and Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate, and is suitable to use across a wide range of products including aqueous (water-based) formulations, emulsions, and cleansing formations. Liquid Germall Plus is a very effective and reliable preservative, operates across a broad pH range, and can be used in very low concentrations. It is a synthetic preservative but is free from parabens, formaldehyde and suitable for vegan products.
How to use Liquid Germall Plus
Although Liquid Germall Plus is a very effective preservative, it is not globally accepted and its use is heavily restricted internationally. For use in the US, Liquid Germall Plus is an excellent choice for surfactant based formulations such as shampoos, shower gels and cleanser, as well as other high water content products. It is also ideal for oil-in-water emulsions, creams and lotions.
